Course Description: This class provides assistance with completion of the assignments made in the primary English class. If your student needs extra help in the English area, has difficulty beginning an assignment, or is challenged in the area of finishing tasks in a timely manner, this class is for them!

Class Size: If a class minimum of 4 students is not reached, class may be cancelled. A maximum of 8 students will be accepted.

When and Where:

Location: St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church, 642 King’s Home Drive, Chelsea

Day: Wednesday

Time: 2:00-3:30 (Please arrive on time. Students may stay the entire time or leave when they have received the help they need.)

Tuition and Fees:

Administrative Fee: $50 per student enrolled in the program, due at the time of registration, refundable through 6/30/22, payable to Grace Presbyterian Church, PCA.

Registration Fee: $0 nonrefundable payable to Beth Moore

Tuition: $150 per semester, due on the first day of class, payable to Beth Moore

This class is also available on a drop-in basis for $25 per class. The student should contact Beth Moore by 8am the day of class and Venmo payment of $25 before class or bring payment with them.

Facility Fee: The annual facility fee for this class is $30 per student, not to exceed $180 per family. This fee is payable to Grace Presbyterian Church, PCA, on the first day of class.

Instructor: Mrs. Beth Moore. Mrs. Moore holds a B.A. in English from Samford University with a minor in History. She has an M.A. in English from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She has seven years of teaching experience at Pelham High School where she taught General English, Advanced English, and AP Prep English classes. After receiving her master’s degree, she taught Composition 101 - level courses at UAB and Composition 101- and 102- level courses at Jefferson State Community College (Shelby Campus) until the arrival of her first child. She has taught at Chelsea Tutorials for the past nine years. She is married and has four boys. She is a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Moore addresses subject matter from a biblical world view.
