Monica McDaniel

Mrs. Monica McDaniel graduated with a BS in Accounting and an MS in Tax Accounting from the University of North Texas. She passed her Certified Public Accountancy Exam on the first try and before a calculator was allowed on the test😊. She retired from public accounting in 2001 when her 3rd son was born. She returned to school in 2014 and received her MA in Biblical Studies from Birmingham Theological Seminary in 2020. She has been married to Bob McDaniel for 34 years. Her family was actively involved in foster parent ministry for 15 years. They have 3 sons who are high school graduates and a daughter in 9th grade. Mrs. McDaniel has served as the director of Chelsea Tutorials for 15 years. Also, she is an Assistant Scoutmaster for Scouts BSA Troop 1119 of which her daughter is a member.
Beth Moore
Instructor - English
Mrs. Beth Moore. Mrs. Moore holds a B.A. in English from Samford University with a minor in history. She has an M.A. in English from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She has seven years of teaching experience at Pelham High School where she taught General English, Advanced English, and AP Prep English classes. After leaving there, she taught Composition 101 - level courses at UAB and Composition 101- and 102- level courses at Jefferson State Community College (Shelby Campus) until the arrival of her first child. She has taught at Chelsea Tutorials for the past eleven years. She is married and has four boys. She is a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Moore addresses subject matter from a biblical worldview. This is her 12th year teaching at Chelsea Tutorials.
Stacey Holland
Instructor - history and science
Mrs. Stacey Holland graduated from The University of Montevallo in 1993, with a B.S. in Speech and Language Pathology. She practiced in home health for a year and then moved out of state upon marrying Jay Holland. They have been married for 28 years. In 1999 she received a Masters of Elementary Education from The University of Montevallo. Stacey taught K4 for three years at Hoover Church of Christ Day School. She and Jay have four children ranging in ages from 23-15. Their oldest has High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder which led her to begin homeschooling. She has homeschooled for ten years. This is her 8th year teaching at Chelsea Tutorials.
Chuck Summers
Instructor - upper level math and science
Chuck Summers graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering in 1975 and earned a master’s in Electrical Engineering in 1981. In addition to his engineering career, he has taught in several Christian Schools and with home school cooperative programs (algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, physical science, and Latin). While living in Woodstock, Georgia, he worked at a tutoring facility with precalculus, calculus I and II, and physics students. Mr. Summers also tutors algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and physics.
Mr. Summers not only enjoys interacting with students in math and science, he is actively learning new math and hobbies including radio, astronomy, rocks and minerals, electronics and ham radio. He believes that only on the basis of an understanding of the God of the Bible that any knowledge is possible. He enjoys learning about God’s technology: how He has made things function.
Chuck and Becky (a wonderful, understanding woman) have been married 50 years. Together they raised 7 children, have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They reside in Harpersville.
This is his 5th year teaching at Chelsea Tutorials.

Alisa Sprayberry
Elementary Class
Mrs. Alisa Sprayberry enjoys having fun while learning! She has been homeschooling for ten years and has been blessed with very different “learners” in her home. She has been married for 19 years to Stacy and has four children ranging from 14-8. She graduated from UAB with a B.S. in Psychology/Social Work and has taught in-home science classes for two years. She loves experiments and getting to see kids enjoy hands-on activities.
