Taught by Stacey Holland

PDF for printing is here

Course Description: U.S. History for Middle School: From the discovery of America to modern times, we will explore the rich history of this great nation. Students will learn American History from a conservative, Christian point of view. Students will gain an understanding of how God’s perfect timing led us from discovery to colonization, through revolutionary times, wars, and industrial development. American history is not perfect nor without mistakes, but students will see how we can learn from mistakes and use God’s guidance to prevent future mistakes. We will use maps to help create a deeper understanding of where certain events occurred. Timelines will be used to connect times, events, people, and places for a clearer understanding of the linear history of the United States. The overall goal is for the students to learn a patriotic and positive overview of our history from past to present while developing an understanding of God’s providence through it all.
