Course Description: This course will use the Apologia curriculum to teach the five kingdom classification system, cellular structure and cellular reproduction, basic genetics, and ecology. Evolution will be discussed from a Christian perspective. There will be a heavy emphasis on scientific vocabulary throughout the course. Dissections will be done in the spring semester.

Tuition and Fees:

Registration Fee: $25 nonrefundable payable to Rachel Mathews

Tuition: $260 per semester payable to Rachel Mathews

Supply Fee: $50 payable to Rachel Mathews on the first day of class

Facility Fee: The semester facility fee for this class is $30 per student, not to exceed $180 per family. This fee is payable to Grace Presbyterian Church, PCA, on the first day of class

Instructor: Mrs. Rachel Mathews graduated from Faulkner University in 2010 with her degree in physical science. She has 5 years’ experience in OB/GYN nursing and 3 years in pharmacy. She has been a substitute teacher in the Leeds City Schools for 3 years. Rachel has been married to Jeff Mathews 16 years this May and has one daughter, Kaleigh, who is 9. She and her husband are building a new home in Chelsea!
